Chris Rath MLC

The Hon. Chris Rath MLC is a member of the Parliament of NSW, currently serving as the Opposition Whip in the Legislative Council. He was appointed a Temporary Chair of Committees, presiding over the Legislative Council on behalf of the President to uphold procedures of the House. He was also the Chair of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice, and a member of several committees including the Committee on the Independent Commission Against Corruption, the Joint Standing Committee on Electoral Matters, and Portfolio Committee 1 – Premier and Finance. Prior to being sworn in as a member of Parliament, he worked in the insurance industry for over six years and served as the NSW Liberal Party’s Urban Vice-President. He holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Master of Management from the University of Sydney.
