Dep. Abril Chuquimia

Abril Chuquimía is a journalist, social communicator, and National Deputy representing the department of La Paz for the Partido Demócrata Cristiano (Christian Democratic Party) in the Bolivian Chamber of Deputies. A social leader in the Youth Pastoral of the Archdiocese, she has advocated for freedom of religion and human rights, and has worked in university television and with the Bolivian naval force. She serves as head of the Christian Democratic Party caucus in La Paz and is a member of the Human Rights Commission and the Human Rights and Equal Opportunities Committee.
